Scanners and mobile scanning apps often create several PDFs for one paperwork job. A few checks before merging prevent upside-down pages, duplicates, and missing sections.
Inspect every scan batch
Check that pages are readable, correctly oriented, and fully captured. Look at edges, signatures, dates, and faint text. Merging cannot restore information cropped during scanning.
Choose a logical order
Put the main form, cover, or summary first. Follow it with records in chronological or subject order. For contracts, keep original section order and place exhibits last.
Merge existing scanned PDFs
Open Merge Scanned Documents, add the scan batches, and arrange them from top to bottom. Download the result and retain the sources until verification is complete.
If scans are JPG or PNG
The merger expects PDFs. Use Scanned Images to PDF first when your scanner exported separate image files.
Manage large scanned files
Scanned pages can make the result large. Merge and inspect first, then use Compress PDF to make a smaller sharing copy.
Create one organized scanned PDF
Arrange separate scan batches and combine them locally.
